Eye Tests for Children

From the age of approximately three, it is possible to check the vision by showing letters and asking the child to point to corresponding letters on a card. Our letter chart has a selection of shapes and symbols that make the examination fun.

Good vision is so important for children because much of what they learn is taken in using their eyes; it is critical to identify and correct any vision problems early on.

We love to help children find comfortable and fun frames that they love. If they are found to need vision correction, we provide an NHS voucher which covers the cost of a complete pair of glasses. We also run our own ‘Second Pair for £10’ scheme as we feel every child should have a spare pair.
